Prep E students can code

24/11/2016
Prep E Children engaging in age appropriate, engaging, real life coding activities.
Students of Pre E are given regular  in class opportunities to explore coding and higher order computational thinking through the use of their class learning mat.  Students are challenged to 'program' a partner to achieve a specific goal using repeated directional commands.  As each goal is met, complexity is increased through the addition of obstacles that the 'coder' must factor in to ensure that the 'robot' can still successfully complete their goal.  Foundational skills like this provide fantastic, age appropriate experiences and skills that all students within the class can carry with them and further enhance as they progress through their schooling careers.
