Overview
At the core of Health and Physical Education is the acquisition of movement skills and concepts to enable students to participate in a range of physical activities – confidently, competently and creatively. As a foundation for lifelong physical activity participation and enhanced performance, students acquire an understanding of how the body moves and develop positive attitudes towards physical activity participation. At Kirwan State School all students from Prep to Year 6 participate in weekly specialist Physical Education classes with an emphasis placed on developing the gross and fine motor skills of our students, especially in the lower school.Additionally, all students in Years 2 and 3 will participate in swimming lesson.
