Learning@home
If there are circumstances. such as a COVID outbreak, that interrupt your childs’ normal school attendance, you can
access the learning resources in the curriculum tab provided on Department of Education website for your child to complete at home.
We will contact you using our normal
communication methods such as the school website, newsletters, SMS or Facebook if our school has to close.
If
our school temporarily closes, teachers may move some or all of your
children’s learning online. Most Queensland state school students
already have experience in working online using tools such as email,
OneDrive, Class Notebook, or the The Learning Place.
Where
digital or online options are not available, we will provide hard
copies of resources for students. This will allow students
who have limited connectivity or who may not have a suitable device, to
continue their learning.
The health and wellbeing of all children
and students is our priority and we are committed to ensuring that their
learning continues during emergencies such as the current Coronavirus
pandemic.
- The following links are provided to access general information about learning@home and resources.
learning@home
refers to the ways schools will maintain teaching and learning in the
event of a prolonged school closure or student absence.
The Department of Education has a number of online tools and resources to support students.
Curriculum
resources for Mathematics and English are available for students to
complete at their own pace. Students in Prep to Year 3 may require
support to read and understand instructions.
Additional online resources are available through the Learning Place website using
student’s log in. This is the same logon and password that students use
to log onto the computers or iPads at school. If your child/children
are unsure of their logon and password, please contact their class
teacher.
